FOUNDER
The founder of the Gulf VAT Academy is Dr. Svetlin Krastanov - an experienced tax adviser and distinguished lecturer with numerous successful tax training events delivered in Europe and in the Middle East. Recently, Dr. Krastanov has been invited several times as a lecturer on the Global VAT Course delivered by IBFD in Amsterdam where he spoke on the Value Added Tax (VAT) developments in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).
Before establishing his own company, Dr. Krastanov had worked for 10 years at the international consulting firms PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) and Ernst & Young (EY) where he advised on complex tax matters multinational and local companies from various industries. He holds a PhD degree with a thesis on tax policy. Dr. Krastanov is author of numerous publications dedicated to VAT, including for the IBFD's International VAT Monitor.
